Level GPA Calculation

The GPA for each specific academic level (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000) is the credit-weighted mean of the grade points a student earns for the course units offered at that level. It is calculated to the second decimal place using the following mathematical formula:

Level GPA = (Σ cᵢ gᵢ) / (Σ cᵢ)

Where:

cᵢ = The number of credits allocated for the i-th course unit offered at that level.
gᵢ = The grade point earned for that i-th course unit.

Final GPA Computation

The Final GPA combines the individual level GPAs by applying specific percentage weights depending on the type of degree program being pursued:

For the 3-Year B.Sc. Degree:
1000 Level: 20% weight
2000 Level: 40% weight
3000 Level: 40% weight

For 4-Year Honours Degrees (including Specialization and Applied Sciences):
1000 Level: 20% weight
2000 Level: 20% weight
3000 Level: 30% weight
4000 Level: 30% weight
